Apparently shoveling snow this winter is more important than casting a ballot on Election Day in Socialist Zohran Mamdani’s New York City. His hypocrisy runneth over.

Mamdani, who doesn’t appreciate his own irony, made a Public Service Announcement (PSA) calling for New Yorkers to step up, volunteer to help shovel the City out of its current whiteout. The so-called volunteers will be paid up to $30 an hour - how that is monitored and by whom, is anyone’s guess. The irony comes into play where Mamdani lists the requirements for city denizens to pick up a shovel, which includes photo identification, the likes of which is not required when voting in any elections held in New York City.

As first reported, five forms of ID were required in order to hit the streets and sidewalks of New York City as part of Mamdani’s snowjob team. Later in the same day, that number was reduced to two, which is still two forms of ID more than are required to vote in New York City.

According to the New York City Department of Sanitation, the eligibility requirements for the big dig (no, not that Boston construction monstrosity that took more than 30 years from conception to completion) are all persons must be at least 18 years of age, must be eligible to work in the United States, and able to perform heavy physical labor. 

So, while enterprising teenagers 13-17 (if there are any) can go house to house and earn money (tax free) shoveling out their neighbors, they can’t do likewise for the City. Of course, that’s called Capitalism, something Mamdani abhors in favor of state controlled, and heavily taxed and regulated, labor. And, with no cap on the age requirement, good luck to Mamdani’s New York City that some asthmatic 70 year old doesn’t have a heart attack and drops dead somewhere on Canal Street and the family sues the City for millions. Even the US military has age limitations.

Additionally, in order to register for these shoveling assignments, each applicant must provide the City of New York two photos “1-½ inch square,” two original forms of ID - plus copies, and a Social Security card.

This is from the Socialist mayor of New York City who virulently opposes voter identification, but demands it for shoveling snow. Kind of like the circus coming to town and then the city needs folks to shovel up the shit after the circus has left. Except in the case of New York City, the circus just arrived on January 1 of this year, and is expected to stay for four years. Imagine the amount of detritus there will be to shovel after four years of circus roustabout Mamdani and his clowns.

Again, this is from the Socialist mayor of New York City, who doubled down in support of protecting illegal aliens in this so-called sanctuary city, but hypocritically won’t even hire them to shovel snow. Mamdani repeatedly calls any voter identification laws racist. If that is true, what of his snow shoveling policies - just as racist? 

Make no mistake, this is in no way an endorsement of hiring illegals in New York City, or anywhere else in the United States. This is an endorsement of law and order (bum-bum-bum-bum-bum), where there are no sanctuary jurisdictions, no protection of illegals who continue to commit crime - beyond the crime of simply crossing the border illegally - and undermine the sanctity of what it means to be an American.

How can Mamdani defend his sanctuary city politics when the very illegals he purports to protect won’t be hired by that very sanctuary city to shovel its citizens out in order for them to go to work and earn money in the capitalist system that is the United States of America? And, if this system of requiring identification is not racist to shovel snow, and does not exclude women and minorities as those who oppose voter ID laws say they do, how do they justify their opposition to voter ID laws? People need the same form(s) of ID to shovel snow as they should to vote. 

Is the shoveling of snow in New York City more sacrosanct than casting one’s ballot to determine who will represent them? Who the people will approve to govern over them? Welcome to Socialist Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s New York City circus of hypocrisy - be careful what you step in, folks.

It’s easy to remember what a charlatan Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders is - his initials are BS, after all, and although he claims to be a Socialist who caucuses with the Democrats, his lifestyle and actions prove otherwise. For years Sanders railed against the “lifestyles of the rich and famous,” - millionaires and billionaires - until he, himself became one - a multi-millionaire, who now just lambastes billionaires. Hypocrisy, jealousy, or covetousness? Either way, Sanders wears an ugly shade of green apropos of the Green Mountains of his state of Vermont. 

Sanders became a millionaire hawking more than a half dozen books - the four written after his first run for president in 2016, netting him the most money, via speaking engagements, and his wife Jane isn’t exactly impoverished either. Make no mistake, I do not begrudge Sanders his wealth - that’s the essence of free market capitalism. I begrudge him his hypocrisy and that he is a grifter living off the backs of the American people, duping unsuspecting college campus indoctrinated drones into believing his lifestyle is that of a Socialist. The beauty of the free market system is that we the people have the right to work, earn, and accumulate as much as we are able - or not - and that includes Sanders, and that he egregiously takes advantage of that system making him the hypocrite’s hypocrite.

With the release of Sanders’ latest tome, It’s OK to Be Angry About Capitalism, he expects people to shell out $28 for the book. Or folks can receive the book by ponying up even more to attend his speaking gig on March 1 at The Anthem in Washington, DC. This event has a price tag ranging from $35 to $95, but the book is “included” for those purchasing the $55, $75, or $95 tickets to enjoy Sanders rail about the capitalist system he so fervently relishes. And if anyone wants to truly be angry, turn that anger toward Ticket Master from whom attendees will need to purchase their tickets with their added fees of upwards of 20-25 percent. Fees for what? For doing their job of selling tickets? Ticket Master has become a virtual monopoly - no sense of competition there, but that’s a whole other story.

And relish it he does - in comfort - owning three houses. Sanders, serving his third term in the Senate, owns a townhouse in Washington, DC, as well as homes in Burlington and Lake Champlain, Vermont. This coming from the  man who supposedly advocates for wealth equality, supports the concept of equity, raising taxes higher, punishing the so-called wealthy, and the belief that government is the solution. On this, the anniversary of Ronald Reagan’s birth, the reality is, as President Reagan said in his first inaugural address on January 20, 1981, “Government is not the solution to our problem, government is the problem.”

Demonstrating his hypocrisy yet again, is Sanders giving away his book? Making it available to read online for free? Is he offering his DC presentation for free? Putting it online, on Zoom, for all the world to experience? No? Why not? Hypocrisy - condemning capitalism while taking full advantage of it. And why? Because neither Socialism nor Communism have ever succeeded. 

Was Fidel Castro a pauper? No, he was not. How about Che Guevara? Chairman Mao? Hugo Chavez? Nicolas Maduro? No; but virtually all who lived under those despots lived in abject poverty, oftentimes in countries that heretofore succeeded with free market systems. Look at Cuba before the Castro revolution. Venezuela before Chavez. The failed Greek economy under Alexis Tsipras. Compare the economies of the former West Germany with the former East Germany and current day North Korea with South Korea. Sure, one could find equity in East Germany and North Korea - everybody was equally impoverished, starving, and without rights or freedoms.

Rights and freedoms - G-d given at that - are what lead to free market systems, capitalism, and republican democracy. The things that forge growth, competition, supply and demand, as well as the mother of invention. What has Soviet Russia invented? Nothing - save for worthwhile classical music and literature composed from the fertile minds of thinkers who, more often than not, suffered their government’s wrath. What about China? Invented nothing, but they certainly have stolen the best technology American minds have produced.

For those who still, ignorantly believe Socialism and/or Communism to be winning philosophies and lifestyles, consider what life is like in Angola, China, Cuba, North Korea, Russia, and Venezuela. Russian composers Aram Khachaturian (1903-78), Sergei Prokofiev (1891-1953), and Dmitri Shostakovich (1906-75) were all denounced by the Department of Agitation and Propaganda. The existence of such a department speaks volumes - just as long as they are not spoken in Soviet Russia.

Poet, novelist, and professor Yevgeny Yevtushenko’s (1933-2017) writings earned him a travel ban from the late 1950s through the early 1960s. Another poet-novelist, Boris Pasternak (1890-1960), a Soviet dissident who wrote anti-Soviet and anti-Socialist materials, found his works censored by the government. And, novelist Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn (1918-2008) suffered a sentence of eight years in a Soviet gulag for criticizing Joseph Stalin in a private letter.

There are those in the United States of America who believe this nation is headed in that very direction. Others would say that time is now. Tech companies serving as agents of the government, or not, censoring the words of ordinary Americans for offering contrary opinions or even for posing questions about what the government is doing. Travel bans were executed in this country due to the Chinese gift of Covid-19. And there are Americans in prison for exercising their First Amendment right to freely assemble on January 6, 2021 - Americans who have not been afforded their civil liberties or due process. We the people must be more vigilant; must pay more attention to what the government of these United States is doing to its own citizens, all the while continuing to allow an invasion at the southern border where millions of people illegally in the United States are furnished with a plethora of freebies.

Bernie Sanders should end his facade of faux Socialism, or if he is a true believer, sell two of his houses, and use the proceeds of them along with his book proceeds to begin to help the tens of thousands of homeless American veterans deserving of so much more than they are getting. End your hypocrisy Comrade Sanders.

I don’t care where they came from. I don’t care why they came here. If they are here illegally, they have broken the laws of the United States of America and are entitled to absolutely nothing, except a one way return ticket to their country of origin. Before they are appropriately deported, they must be fingerprinted and photographed - a national database must be established.

As for the unmitigated hypocrisy of Joe Biden and his cronies, if what they think is following the science, the science must be schizophrenic. Here’s the proof - as admitted by Biden press shill, Jen Psaki - that workers (American citizens) employed at a company of 100 or more employees must be vaccinated or risk losing their jobs and their ability to support their families. Yet, illegals, committing a crime by their mere presence in this country, are neither subjected to a Covid test or a mandatory vaccine. Psaki’s response: “Yes, that’s right.”

Why are the nation’s employers running scared of the Biden administration? Whether schools, hospitals, police and fire departments, corporations, manufacturers, and/or airlines - if they ALL simply refuse to mandate their employees to put a drug they may not want or need into their bodies. What do these employers think will happen? They will get fined $700,000? How does the government expect to collect this money - a punishment for not adhering to Biden’s hypocritical and inconsistent edicts? The vaccine-tax police? Employers of the nation UNITE.

If individuals want the vaccine - good - G-d bless. If they don’t, that’s good too, and G-d bless. The federal government cannot legally force drugs into our bodies. Are the vaccine police going to invade our homes, strap us down, and jab us with a needle full of a drug we may not need or want? This totalitarian behavior by the federal government will only become more severe and impactful on our lives. This is the slippery slope - first a drug - and people follow blindly - oh, right, it’s a public health crisis - but what next? Will the government ban certain foods because the Department of Health and Human Services determines are unhealthy for the general public? Or banning religious rites and practices because the government does not support or understand them?

The hypocrisy continues where public gatherings are concerned. BLM rallies and Antifa riots, arson, and vandalism are unpunished, acceptable activities, but a peaceful motorcycle rally in Sturgis, SD is demonized as are outdoor Independence Day gatherings.

Congress has exempted itself from the Covid vaccine. What do they know that the rest of us don’t? Why have many thousands of doctors and nurses put their employment at risk because they have opted out of the vaccine? Again, what do they know that the rest of us don’t? Why is the federal government willing to have all these people, and possibly hundreds of thousands more, lose jobs heretofore deemed vital and essential for the past year and a half? Why is the federal government willing to put the American people in harm's way by weakening our military, numerous police and fire departments, as well as hospitals by having those essential workers fired for standing up for their principles, and their right to not put a drug in their bodies they may not want or need? Does this make America safer or stronger? 

For that matter, why should anyone spend their hard earned money in stores where rampant shoplifting goes unchallenged or unprosecuted? But that’s an issue involving well placed, far left, progressive district attorneys hand picked by the evil George Soros for the purpose of continuing to destroy the United States. But that’s not the only reason store shelves are increasingly bare.

The supply chain crisis is further impacted by the missing employees and increasingly exacerbated by the federal government continuing to encourage people to stay home instead of returning to their jobs.

“The shelves in our grocery stores are starting to resemble Third World countries,” said US Rep. Mark Green (R-TN), also a veteran having spent time the world over on active duty.

And taxes will rise to pay those not working as well as the ever steadily increasing numbers of illegals continuing to invade our borders - here illegally, yet being given free healthcare, education, food stamps, housing, and even obtaining driver’s licenses. Seven to eight billion people cannot be refugees and thus take refuge in the United States. The American taxpayer cannot continue to foot these bills, nor should they be required to do so. Eventually the American taxpayer will get tired of doing so, stop working, and like any socialist society, the government will run out of other people’s money.
